Assignment:
5 hours per day, 184 days per year (25 weekly hours)
Work Schedule
Position works the week before school starts in the fall and on all
school days.
Work hours will be primarily during regular DSC business hours
until printing orders are complete.
Wages:
Minimum hourly rate is $20.04
Wages can be found in Appendix A, Class B.
Not medical or dental benefit eligible.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain Xerox PrimeLink B9100 printers to ensure
high-quality print production.
- Manage web-based digital job submissions and monitor print
queues for accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain inventory of supplies (paper, toner, finishing
materials) and coordinate restocking as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
Job Requirements:
- Experience operating high-volume digital printing equipment.
Hands-on experience with Xerox B9100 or similar production-level
copiers, including knowledge of print job setup, finishing options
(binding, folding, cutting), and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of web-based print shop submission systems.
Familiarity with IONS or similar digital job ticketing and print
management software to handle job submissions, manage workflows,
and generate reports.
- Print production and finishing experience. Understanding of
print quality control, color adjustments, paper types, and
finishing processes to ensure high-quality output.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to
maintain and repair high-volume digital printers, specifically
Xerox PrimeLink B9100.
- Excellent organizational skills. Capability to manage multiple
tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Attention to detail. Ensuring accuracy and quality control for
all print jobs.
- Ability to work independently. following instructions and
completing tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Effectively
interacting with teachers and other district staff to exchange
information and receive work direction.
